It’s Saturday, and this is the first one since October when there’s been nothing going on. I missed last week’s snippets because I was a tiny bit busy watching my kid steal the show as Scar in The Lion King Jr. If you enjoy a bit of proud parent bragging, you can check out my post on it here.
I also had a book launch May 1 for my latest novel, An Act of Devotion. The link is on the right sidebar (or at the end for anyone reading this on mobile). I’ll be sharing snippets of it for the next several weeks.
Last time, I introduced you to the deliciously gorgeous AJ, through Adam’s eyes. This time, you can see how AJ reacts to Adam.
AJ watched Adam walk out of the campus health center then waited a few minutes to make sure he was gone for good. He’d rarely met anyone with such an entitled attitude. It made no difference that he was also ridiculously adorable, with his unruly red-orange hair, his lanky frame, and his handful of freckles. He was like an oversized elf. If he hadn’t been so damn self-righteous and smug, AJ would have liked to get to know him better. He’d eyed AJ up and down and then styled himself as God’s sex gift to humanity, which left a bad taste in AJ’s mouth.

Fantastic description 😀
AM Leibowitz
Thanks! 😀
Addison Albright
Adam’s got his work cut out for him. I wonder if AJ is just misunderstood, or if Adam will be helping him acquire an attitude adjustment. 🙂
AM Leibowitz
Heh, these two are definitely going to need to both put in some effort. Neither of them wants to budge an inch.

Oh, wow, I love AJ’s impression of Adam! It’s unique, personal, and utterly romantic, because of it! I find myself humming ‘Boys of Summer’ as I read it! (heart)
AM Leibowitz
LOL! Well, I’m partial to adorable redheads myself, so I guess AJ and I are on the same page there. 🙂
P.T. Wyant
Love the description, but even more I love that attitude trumps looks.
AM Leibowitz
Yup! Fortunately for us, though, they’ll both dig through the layers to find the person underneath the bad attitude. 😉
Louise Lyons
Great description – I wonder if he loves himself as much as he appears to.
AM Leibowitz
Guess you’ll have to wait and see. 😉
Rebecca Cohen
Sounds like he’s got a thing for this red-head 😉
AM Leibowitz
Oh, he does. He just has to look underneath the surface. 🙂
Rian
Wow! There’d be some clash of attitudes. Interesting premise and I’d like to see who’s going to give up first. 😀
AM Leibowitz
😀 Yes, that’s half the fun!
Alexa Milne
Adam’s going to have to work hard to change AJ’s image of him.
AM Leibowitz
Yes, he is. But he’ll do it if he thinks AJ is worth the effort. 🙂
Jana Denardo
I like the descriptions
AM Leibowitz
Thank you! 🙂
Amy Rae Durreson
Great description of a decidedly mixed first impression 🙂
AM Leibowitz
Thanks! Good thing first impressions lead to second impressions, eh? 😉
