Happy Saturday! It’s been a busy one for us—spent the morning preparing for my older child’s confirmation, followed by a long shopping trip for dance costume pieces. Later, I’m off to Girl Scout camp to pick up my younger child. In the meantime, I’ll leave this snippet here for your enjoyment.
I’ve been posting from my recent release, An Act of Devotion. I promised last week I would give you a bit more of what happened between Adam and AJ which led to their impressions of each other. The woman here is not his girlfriend; she’s a FWB.
In the morning, Adam stretched, his arm brushing against the hair half-hidden under the blanket. Renee had stayed the night, which had turned out to be fun for both of them. At first, Adam had been a little annoyed—the man in the health center had clearly wanted to mess with his head. He’d given Adam an assortment of condoms ranging from glow-in-the-dark to neon colors to decorated varieties. Adam had worried how Renee would take it. Other than the one marked with a ruler, he didn’t mind, but it wasn’t like they’d had a big conversation about weird condoms before making out on his couch.

He is! He originally appeared as a supporting character in Memoir in the Making, which is a f/f/ May-December romance by Adrian J. Smith. She let me “borrow” Adam so he could have his happily ever after too. 🙂
