In all his relationships, Darren Fielding never found the level of intimacy he witnessed between Thomas Williams and his sub, Peter, the day of Peterâs ârebirth.â Not only that, he never realized such intimacy was possible. For two years, Thomasâs business card has been burning a hole in his wallet. When Darrenâs lover moves on, maybe itâs finally time to see where that card takes him.
Collars & Cuffsâs new barman, JJ Taylor, is really conflicted right now. He went to the club with a very specific purpose, already convinced of what heâd find there. Except itâs not what he expected at all. He certainly didnât anticipate finding himself drawn to the new wannabe Dom. Nor could he have guessed the direction that attraction would lead him.
Old love, new love, vows, pain, rage, moving in, moving onâŠ. The members of Collars & Cuffs face an event that touches some of them deeply, but it will only reinforce what they already know: together they are stronger, and some bonds cannot be broken.

âHoney, Iâm home.â
Alex laughed and came out of the kitchen to greet his husband. âWeâve talked about this, right? You do not walk into this apartment and talk to me like Iâm the little wife.â
Leo kissed him soundly on the cheek. âAw, but youâd look great in an apron, holding a glass of beer out for your weary, hard-working hubby.â He smirked. âAnd besides, no one in their right mind would call you little.â
Alex quirked his eyebrows. âOne, you donât drink beer, which is why thereâs a glass of chilled chardonnay on the living room table, waiting for you. Two, excuse meâweary? Hard-working? Youâve been standing around in leather chaps and a harness, watching while guys do all manner of things to each other, which probably included a lot of fucking, because, hey, itâs Saturday night, right?â
Leo sighed happily. âWhat can I say? I love my job.â
Meet K.C. Wells:
Born and raised in the north-west of England, K.C. WELLS always loved writing. Words were important. Full stop. However, when childhood gave way to adulthood, the writing ceased, as life got in the way. K.C. discovered erotic fiction in 2009, when the purchase of a mĂ©nage storyline led to the startling discovery that reading about men in love was damn hot. In 2012, arriving at a really low point in life led to the desperate need to do something creative. An even bigger discovery waited in the wingsâwriting about men in love was even hotterâŠ
K.C. now writes full-time and is loving every minute of her new career. The laptop still has no idea of what hit itâŠit only knows that it wants a rest, please. And it now has to get used to the idea that where K.C goes, it goes.
And as for those men in love that she writes about? The list of stories just waiting to be written is getting longer⊠and longerâŠ
Meet Parker Williams (or at least his voices):
Good day! We are the voices that live inside Willâs head. The ones who whisper to him constantly, beckoning him to speak of our adventures, to tell of our love, and perhaps, if weâre in a mood, kill a person or two.
We guide his hand as he tells our tales where love is the most powerful force, but must be worked for, molded, and finally, embraced. There can be no shortcuts or substitutions on the path to a happily ever after.
We hope you will join with us as Will fulfills his obligation to ensure our stories are told and, we hope, enjoyed.

âAlex? Could you and the boys come in here, please?â Thomas called from the doorway.
âOf course, sir. Right away.â
âHave we done something wrong?â Peter asked.
âI donât see how we could have,â Scott replied. âUnless Ben found myâumâŠnever mind.â
Alex frowned. âScott? Something you want to tell us?â
Scott flushed and lowered his gaze. âNo, not really.â
âIf weâre about to get yelled at, Iâd like to know why,â Gareth told him.
âIâve been working on a new book,â Scott answered. âIt might be a littleâŠautobiographical.â
âIn other words, youâre writing smut,â Alex said, a huge grin spreading across his face.
âNo!â Scott protested. âMaybe. I just wanted to see if I could write something moreâŠyou know, adult oriented.â
âGuys, I doubt that Ben would come in here and tell anyone. Heâd probably make Scott act it out for him.â
âBoys, weâre waiting,â Thomas repeated.
They moved together, plodding toward the door. When they walked into the office, they found Leo, Thomas, Ben, Alan, Andrew, and Eli waiting for them.
âBen?â
Ben looked up at Scott, but Alex wasnât sure what the expression on his face meant.
âSir, are we in trouble?â
âWell,â Leo answered, âthree of you are. The question is, which three?â
The subs looked at one another, each equally uncertain. When Thomas laughed, the other Doms joined in.
âOkay, itâs not fair to tease them,â Thomas said. âNext week is Pride week. Our foundation is going to be sponsoring a game, and they need three couples to participate. The thing is, weâre going to let you boys draw lots. If you âwinâ, then you and your Dom will appear on stage for the game.â
âAnd if you âwinâ,â Ben said, narrowing his gaze at Scott, âthere will be a punishment in your future.â
âBenâŠâ Leo admonished.
âWhat?â Ben answered. âI donât want to be up on stage, and I sure as heck donât want to be doing this game.â
âItâs for charity,â Thomas countered. âIt will raise a lot of money to help LGBT kids.â
âAnd whose bright idea was it?â Alan demanded.
âTony at the door. He works with the kids, and he thought it would be something we could all do to help out. But, if youâd rather not help, thatâs fine. Iâm sure the kids will understand,â Leo said sadly.
âYouâre an arse,â Ben replied, but there wasnât any heat to his words. âIf Scott pulls the short straw, weâll do it.â
âGreat!â Leo reached into the drawer and pulled out several cocktail straws, which he held in his fist. âOkay, who wants to go first?â
Alex stepped forward and grabbed a straw. He held it aloft, then grinned. âIâm safe,â he said triumphantly.
âNext?â
Scott reached out a trembling hand, not looking away from a scowling Ben. âDamn,â he whispered, as he had just a piece of straw.
âPeter?â
Peter trembled slightly. âSir?â
âYou donât have to do this, lad. You can be excused if youâd rather.â
âItâs fine, Peter. Weâll all understand,â Alex soothed.
âNo, I-I want to do it.â
His straw was the equivalent of Alexâs. Alex high-fived him.
âJarod?â
Jarod sighed, then pulled a straw. His was also long.
âAnd finally, Gareth.â
âThereâs only one left. And itâs probably the other little one.â He snatched it out of Leoâs hand, and growled when he found out it was a small one.
âExcellent! We have our teams. Alex and Leo. Me and Peter. Jarod and Eli.â
âWait. What?â Alex protested. âWe have the long straws. Ben said if Scott drew the short oneââ
âIndeed he did. But the long straws were the ones who would win. Congratulations gentlemen.â
The day of the event had turned decidedly gray and chilly. Rain threatened, but didnât show. It still made for a sparse crowd. Ben and Scott sat on two of the many open chairs, waiting for the game to begin. Surprisingly, though, as it got closer to show time, the people began pouring in. They were loud, their laughter raucous, and Scott watched as Peter slid a little closer to Thomas.
âPoor Peter,â he whispered.
âHeâll be fine,â Ben replied. âLook.â
Thomas twined their fingers together, and whispered something that had Peter nodding.
A few minutes passed, then a bawdy drag queen strolled out onto the stage. âHey, boys! Having fun?â
The crowd cheered.
âGreat! Iâm your host, Candy Dish, and weâve got some fun for you tonight. These three teams are competing for a two-hundred-dollar shopping spree. Now youâve all seen The Dating Game, right?â
A few people raised their hands.
âGod, you queens get younger and younger every year,â Candy complained. âOkay, listen. Weâve asked each of the Doms three questions. The answers are written in the cards weâre going to be giving them. Each of their boys have to answer it, and match the Dom, in order to win. Simple, no?â
âThis isnât going to go well,â Ben whispered.
âWhy not?â
âAlex is a smart arse, Peter looks as though he might pass out, and Eli would probably love to use this as an excuse to punish JarodâŠin a fun way.â
âAre you boys ready?â Candy called out.
The contestants indicated they were.
âOkay, boys weâve asked your Doms the following multiple choice question. What do you think their answer will be? On your first date, what animal was your significant other? A) Cute and cuddly like a kitten, B) Like a turtle, always afraid to make the first move, C) Like a tiger, brave and courageous, or D) like an octopusâŠwhich needs no further explanation, Iâm sure. Weâll start with you, Alex. For ten points, what did Leo say.
Alex smirked. âLeo was cute and cuddly, like a kitten.â
âLeo, hold up your card, please.â Leo frowned as he lifted his card. âOh, sorry, Alex. Leo said he was like a tiger, brave and courageous.â
âA kitten? Where in the hell did you get that?â
âBecause you were so cute and shy. When you told me you were a Dom, I couldnât believe it.â
Leo dropped the card on the side of his chair and grumbled something under his breath.
âOkay, Peter. What will Thomas say he was like on your first date?â
Peter took a deep breath, then gazed at Thomas lovingly. âHe was like a tiger. So brave and courageous.â
âAnd Thomas, what did you say?â
Thomas dropped his gaze. âI said like a turtle. I was afraid to make a move.â
âSorry guys, but you missed that one. Finally, Jarod. What did Eli say he was like on your first date?â
Jarod frowned. âOn our first real date? Like an octopus. I probably still have the marks.â
Eli held up his card and jumped in his seat when his answer matched Jarodâs.
âCongratulations! Now, question number two: If your Dom was a car, what kind of car does he think heâd be? A) Corvette, sleek and sexy. B) An SUV, power, muscle, and durability, C) A Jeep Wrangler, adventurous and wild, or D) A Cadillac, elegant, graceful, and luxurious? Alex?
âWas there a golf cart in there somewhere?â
Candy snorted, then shook her head.
âOkay, Leo would be a Corvette. Sleek and sexy.â
âLeo! How did you answer?â
Leo held up his card. âSleek and sexy? I thought it was more elegant and graceful.â
âWhy would you think that? Watching you strip off your clothesââ
âOkay, weâll talk about this when we get home,â Leo said, cutting Alex off.
âPeter?â
âMy master would definitely be a Cadillac.â
âAnd what did Thomas say?â
Thomas held his card aloft. âCadillac!â
Peter leaned over and kissed Thomas, blushing slightly when the crowd gave a catcall.
âAnd Jarod? What kind of car is Eli?â
Jarod laughed. âHe would definitely be a Jeep Wrangler. Heâs got a lot of ideas on how to make me suffer.â
Eli pulled a face and lifted his card. âAn SUV. Full of power and muscle. You remember what happened when we worked out?â
A fond, faraway glazed look reached Jarodâs eyes. And Ben could see him adjusting his pants.
âThe score is Alex and Leo zero, Thomas and Peter one, and Eli and Jarod one. Our final question. We asked your Doms what kind of sea creature youâd consider yourself. A) Dolphin, fun and loveable, B) a crab, grumpy and irascible, C) A shark, predatory and hungry, or D) A playful seal? Alex?â
âLeo would definitely say I was a playful seal.â
Leo grinned widely as he held up the card. âFinally,â he huffed, taking a kiss.
âPeter?â
âMaster Thomas would say Iâm a shark. Predatory and hungry.â
Thomas pulled a face. âA shark? Youâre a dolphin. Fun and loveable.â
âFun and loveable?â Peter argued. âWhen we were in bed last night, you asked me âdonât you ever get enough?ââ
Thomasâs eyes went wide. âWe were talking about cheese and crackers!â
âYes, but you still asked me that question.â
âFine. Shark.â Thomas shook his head.
âAnd finally, Jarod. What kind of animal did Eli say you were?â
âKnowing him? Probably a crab.â
âI did not!â Eli protested. He lifted the card from his lap. âI said you were a Dolphin. Why would I say you were a crab?â
âBecause you complain that Iâm grumpy now that I canât have coffee.â
âOh,â Eli replied. âWell, there is that.â
Candy waved her hands. âWe have a three-way tie! God, I still remember my first three-way. But thatâs a story for another day. So, guysâŠdo you want to have a tie-breaker, winner takes all, or do you want to call it a draw?â
The subs put their heads together, looked at their Doms, then huddled again. Jarod stood and faced the crowd. âWeâre going to stay with a draw. This was about raising money for charity, and we did that. Our Masters know how much we love them, and weâre not about to get on their bad sides by forcing a sudden death question. Though one of us did say heâd prefer to go for the tie-breaker.â
âThat was me, Leo. I figured if I got this one wrong, Iâd get a nice, rosy arse.â
âI knew you werenât playing to win,â Leo said.
âThere you have it folks. Our subs know their Doms. At least a little. We had a lot of fun with this, and maybe weâll do it again next year. And who knows? Maybe youâll be chosen to be part of the panel. Until then, have a good night, drive safe, and always remember to cover your stump before you hump.â
