Happy Wednesday! We’re enjoying our summer vacation here. The wind storm in March took out our trampoline, so we got a new one, thanks to insurance. The guys put it up on Sunday, but it’s been too rainy since then to use it! Sunshine today, so hopefully that means some outdoor time.
My son and I went to see Cars 3 yesterday. Cars is my favorite Pixar film, so I was perfectly happy to see the next one. J and I both loved it; he says it’s the best of the three, and I might have to agree. There’s a lot to unpack in it, and I think the underlying message is a good one. Final verdict: go see it, with or without kids.
On to the WIPpet. Leaps of Faith is almost not a WIP anymore. The last part of the last story is now with my betas, and the first part is with the editor. I still have to finish going over edits on Keeping the Faith, but when that’s done and out of my hands, that’s the end. I’ve been with these characters for three years, and it’s bittersweet letting them go at last. It’s time, though. I need to move on to other projects. You can read a bit more of my musings on why I wrote the series here.
Since this is the last I’ll post from it, I’ll be nice and continue last week’s scene so you can get a peek at what Micah’s got on.
WIPmath: 6/28/2017 = 17 sentences for the year. Yeah, not that creative.
Micah set the bra on the bedside table and stripped off his shirt, more quickly than Cat had. He slid his jeans down, and Cat was pleased to see he was indeed wearing the boxer briefs. He picked the bra up again and stepped closer to Cat.
“Where did you get it?” Cat asked. He was struggling to stay in control by that point, almost more excited than he’d been the first time he and Micah had made love.
“I visited a sex shop. They had some things that would fit you better than a regular store.” There was a slight tremor in his voice which Cat found both endearing and sexy.
“You went to a sex shop? Alone?” It was a big step for him, after all.
“Yeah. Thank God, there was a woman working. She was really helpful in choosing the right things.”
“Things?”
Micah didn’t answer. His fingers brushed the skin of Cat’s shoulders, sending ripples of pleasure through him.
Like what you read? Be sure to check out the other entries and add your own. Just post a bit of your WIP, connect it to the date, and link up with us. Many thanks to Emily Witt for giving us this space. Happy reading and writing!

Cat is always a pleasure to read about!
AM Leibowitz
Thank you! I love writing about him. 🙂

Awwww. Loving all of these. And now I’m curious what else Micah bought.
AM Leibowitz
Cat’s wondering what else too, but I think Micah can distract him for a bit first. 😉
Debbie McGowan
Wonder what Micah thinks of us all ogling his undies? 😀
AM Leibowitz
I think he’d be a little embarrassed, but Cat would find the whole thing pretty entertaining. I don’t think he minds having *his* undies ogled.
Debbie McGowan
Nope, definitely not. 😀

Things… so many meanings, here, obviously intriguing. These two are sweet together and they know how to tease each other.
AM Leibowitz
They do! They’re newlyweds here, but I think in the story’s timeline, they’ve been together for about 2 years. Cat’s a free spirit, very open. Micah’s had a hard life and is much more reserved.

As someone who will be tied to her bras until she dies because of gravity, I never understand the obsession that people have for them when they don’t have a lot to hold up… Though, yeah, some are gorgeous, and beautiful things can be very … alluring.
This shopping run though…. Would have LOVED to be a fly on the wall during it. Guess it depends on the woman in the shop, was she chatty? Did she suggest sizes, try-ons, colors? Was there a “standing in front of a mirror, picturing the future” moment?
Inquiring minds want to know! 😉
AM Leibowitz
LOL! Yeah, Micah’s so reserved, I can imagine it wouldn’t go well to have the wrong sort of employee trying to help him. I do think he would’ve visualized it on Cat, though.
Cat’s bra obsession…because he’s gender fluid, wearing them eases his dysphoria (the sense that how he’s perceived by the world doesn’t match his internal identity). He’s perfectly comfortable wearing a skirt or makeup, but having something on underneath makes him feel whole, in a way. And having his partner acknowledge it and use that for both their pleasure? Even better. He knows here that Micah sees him for who he is.

This is a fun snippet to read! I am also interested in the other things that Micah bought from the store.
It must be sad yet exhilarating to finish a series. I am editing my novel right now and can only imagine how it feels to finish :’)
AM Leibowitz
It’s bittersweet for sure finishing. I knew I would miss these characters, but I wasn’t quite prepared for how emotional it’s been.

Oooooh la la! That was just a tad bit steamy! And add me to the list of people wondering what else he bought.
